I'm a product and service designer in Los Angeles. I've spent 15+ years making complicated systems usable, mostly in healthcare and other regulated spaces.

I grew up in Venezuela during years of political upheaval, then moved to a small Caribbean village. Both taught me to do a lot with very little. That still shapes how I work: start scrappy, test early, keep only what earns its place.

Healthcare got personal when my family spent time in a NICU. I saw what confusing systems cost people who are already scared. That's why I treat accessibility as part of the work, not a final check.

Some of what I've done: led design on Blue Cross Blue Shield FEP's web and mobile products, used by 5M+ members, including a WCAG 2.1 AA design system. Managed a team of 20 designers and contractors through WhoWhatWhy's full rebrand and site rebuild. Today I lead design and experience strategy at Nivan, a design, AI and research community, where a small volunteer team and an AI-first workflow ran a sold-out conference and live debatesin Chicago.
